Flight Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Flight Operations Manager to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of flight operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role requires a deep understanding of the aviation industry, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing flight operations within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of flight operations.
• Ensure all flight operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Monitor flight performance, including on-time departures and arrivals, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead and arrange training for members of the operation team as necessary to ensure that the team functions effectively and has sufficient shared knowledge to cope with normal personnel changes that occur from time to time. Recruit replacement or additional operation staff where necessary.
• Manage and control that all Operation staff training is arranged on time according to the training program, and records are stored in accordingly.
• Ensure that all flight operations documentation, including manuals, procedures, and records, are accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
• Ensure that all flight operations staff are trained and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Optimize flight operations processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, while maintaining high safety and service standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance, ground operations, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Act as the point of contact during emergency situations, coordinating with relevant authorities, and ensuring the safety of passengers and crew.
• Liaise with airports, air traffic control, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth flight operations.
• Prepare regular reports on flight operations performance, including safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Skills and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ICAO, IATA, GCAA certifications) is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE GCAA regulations, international aviation standards (ICAO, IATA, EASA, FAA), and safety management systems.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in flight operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the UAE aviation industry.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in aviation software and systems (e.g., PPS, ERP systems, SMS platforms).
• Proven experience in managing complex flight operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
