MARKET RESEARCH & TRADING ANALYST

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our energy trading division as a Market Research and Trading Analyst. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the energy and commodity markets and looking to grow within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our trading and management teams by conducting market research, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Research & Analysis:
• Conduct in-depth research on shipping, trading partners, market trends, and competitors.
• Provide timely and accurate information to support trading decisions.
• Providing detailed reports and analysis and clearly communicating the findings.
• Data Management & Reporting:
• Learn and utilize various data platforms to extract and analyze relevant market data.
• Develop and maintain analytical models and sheets that provide valuable insights to management and traders.
• Create detailed reports and presentations on market trends, competitor activity, and potential risks and opportunities.
• Market Monitoring:
• Continuously monitor the market for new opportunities, including emerging trade routes, economic indicators and other types of information.
• Provide insights into new market developments and suggest strategies to capitalize on them

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Skills & Competencies:
• A strong passion in the commodity business.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to process, interpret, and explain complex data.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to gather and disseminate information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining the order of priority of tasks.
• Highly motivated with a passion for the energy market and a keen interest in the commodity trading industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other data analysis and presentation tools
• Speaking multiple languages is a plus.
• Experience:
• 2-3 years experience in market research, trading, or funds, experience within the commodities sector is a plus.
